Signs of resurgence were observed for the first quarter of 2019. A total of 1,838 private new homes (excluding ECs) were sold by the developers, reflecting a steady growth in demand. It was closely comparable with the previous quarter.

On a yearly comparison, this was a 16.3% year-on-year (y-o-y) surge in the number of units sold as compared to the first quarter of 2018, whereby 1,581 units were sold.
